<\/p>Ever wondered what it\u2019s like taking an electric scooter on the train?\n

Having to get from Chester to Canterbury to pick up a new company vehicle during lockdown presented some challenges. I figured the E-scooter was worth taking. It could save not only the cost of three taxis, but would also be safer from a Covid avoidance perspective.<\/p>\n

After checking that the train companies didn\u2019t have any objections, I was good to go. I dropped the scooter into the van and drove into Chester, then scooted from the car park to Chester station. I hopped on a train to London Euston, scooted to St Pancras, then caught another train to Canterbury. From there, it was a three mile scoot to the dealership.<\/p>\n

All three scooter journeys passed off without any problem, and using Google Maps on my phone ensured I took the shortest routes. Carrying a 22kg scooter up and down stairs and onto the trains meant I didn\u2019t go without exercise either, but I\u2019m used to it.<\/p>\n

The scooter proved a bit long to go between seats, so it stuck out in the aisle a bit. I suppose this isn\u2019t really an issue on empty trains.<\/p>\n
