With the scooter taking up so little space, I have been able to fold it and store it on the floor in the back of the VW with no issues. However, I\u2019ve been looking at new panel van conversions with a view to swapping my VW for something a bit bigger, now that I\u2019m away for longer periods.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve found that the most common layout for panel van conversions is an end bedroom with a high fixed bed to accommodate a large garage underneath. The main reason for this is because many van users want to take their bikes, but don\u2019t want a bike rack on the rear of their vehicle. Bike racks are expensive and it\u2019s much quicker to shove a bike into a garage than mount it on a rack.<\/p>\n

The E-scooter could be a game changer for van design. They take up far less space, hence a much smaller van garage will do. This means I can choose a van with an end lounge that converts into a double bed instead of a fixed bed, which is much more useful.<\/p>\n
